Red Bull Racing - F1 Team Profile

Winning the last three Championships in a row, Red Bull Racing have progressed their way to become one of the main leaders in Formula One Racing.

Red Bull Racing first introduced themselves to Formula 1 back in 2005 from buying out Jaguar's previous F1 squad. After a series of years of struggle, their major breakthrough came in 2009 with RB5. Sebastian Vettel was only to loose out to the sheer domination at the start of the season from the Brawn GPs cars driven by Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello. 2010 saw Red Bull Racing's first constructors and drivers championship after a tense last race in Abu Dhabi. Since then, Red Bull have taken an evolutionary approach to the cars every year which saw them dominate 2011 (with Sebastian Vettel gaining 11 wins and 15 poles) and 2012: even if the blown diffuser was banned in 2012 which saw the RB7 dominate in 2010. A late push from Vettel clinched him the driver's championship and, with the help of Mark Webber, constructor's championship for the third time in the row.

Fernando Alonso famously said at the end of qualifying in 2012 of the Indian Grand Prix that, "We're fighting against Newey', claiming that the factor that gets Red Bull Racing the high achieving results is from the brilliance of Adrian Newey.
